Each year thousand's of Kentucky's children enter into the complex social welfare and court system through no fault of their own. They are innocent victims of abuse, neglect and abandonment. In Daviess County, there are approximately 1000 reports of child abuse and neglect annually.
Daviess County CASA envisions a county where all abused and neglected children have access to a trained, informed and committed adult volunteer who will serve as their advocate and voice in the court system. Access to the CASA program will ensure that children have the increased potential to find a safe and permanent home that will allow them to survive and thrive. The CASA program will be available, thus ensuring that children’s voices are heard by judges, agencies and organizations seeking to make informed decisions regarding the well-being of child victims.
